In 32 cases, Biatain® Silicone was used instead of treatment with multiple dressings. Improvement in wound bed was recorded in 95% of cases, improvement in wound edge in 95% of cases, and improvement in periwound skin in 87% of cases. There was no change in the wear time. 92% of patients reported that the dressing was very comfortable. For the 10 cases where a filler was saved, the average cost saving was 49%.
